This website

yochen.com.au is an informational website. It has no tracking pixels, no advertising, and no sign-up form, so it does not collect personal information that identifies you.

Aggregate page views. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count how many people visit each page. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie, cannot follow you to other websites, and does not build a profile of you. We use it only to see which pages are useful. Because there is no tracking cookie and no personal profile, there is no consent banner to click.

Cookies. The only cookie this website can set is a functionalone that remembers the language you pick in the language switcher. It contains a language code (for example “en”), nothing that identifies you, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.

Fonts and assets are self-hosted — the site does not call out to Google Fonts or any third-party CDN as you browse.

As with any website, our hosting provider processes standard server request logs (such as IP address and the page requested) transiently to deliver and secure the site; we do not use these to identify you and do not combine them with any other data.

Our on-device apps

Any desktop app we publish is built to work entirely on your own device: no collection, storage, or transmission of personal information, usage analytics, device identifiers, or the contents of your documents to us or to any third party. If a future app departs from this, it will say so clearly and this policy will be updated before it ships.

Online products (VCE Practice)

One product is different: VCE Practice (practice.yochen.com.au) is an online study service with student accounts, and it does collect and process personal information, including students’ progress data. It is for students aged 15 and over, who can create an account and consent for themselves; a parent or guardian holds the account and pays for a subscription. It is governed by its own privacy policy at practice.yochen.com.au/privacy, which applies instead of this one when you use VCE Practice. The statements above cover this website and our on-device apps.

Network access in our apps

Our apps work fully offline. The only times an app may use the network are when youinitiate an action that involves a third party — for example opening a link contained in a document (which opens in your default web browser), or choosing “Rate App” (which opens the app’s App Store page). These actions hand off to Apple or to your browser, each governed by its own privacy policy, and we receive no personal information through them.

Purchases and downloads

Our apps are sold and downloaded through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your purchase and may share limited, aggregate, non-identifying sales and download statistics with us as the developer. We never receive your name, email, payment details, or Apple ID. Apple’s handling of your data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Third-party links

This website and our apps may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; their own policies apply once you leave.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on request. If you have any question about your privacy, you are welcome to contact us at any time.

Children’s privacy

Our website and apps are suitable for all ages and collect no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
